Moraira was once a quiet fishing village but now has evolved into one of the most upmarket sea side resorts which can be found on the Northern Costa Blanca in Spain. You can fly into either Alicante or Valencia airport and then hire a car, make sure you have Spanish car insurance included in your rental price.
Moraira has been built to fit in with the environment in other words no purpose built high rise apartments. Although Moraira does have a few hotels and a caravan park, Moraira belongs to those resorts that specialise in villa holidays or apartment rental.
The main beach in Moraira is known as L’Ampolla Beach and is the main beach which one can see when entering the resort, and to the north one will find El Portet Beach.
Driving towards the sea side resort of Calpe one will see the Andrago Beach and Plagetes. One will find a good selection of bars, pubs and restaurants near the beach where one will find something for everyone. Moraira is popular with British tourists and one will find quite a few restaurants serving British food.
